Red as a Symbol (PSA)
Project type
Campaign Design
Continuing the exploration of the color red, this public service announcement campaign uses the hue to challenge the societal stigma and taboos surrounding menstruation. While the commercial launch uses red as an archetype of power, this project addresses its role as a symbol of taboo, subverting that restriction by integrating it into Gen-Z digital platforms. By creating parodies of familiar interfaces like Netflix, Spotify, and YouTube, the campaign inserts menstrual narratives into everyday user contexts to make the invisible visible.
The execution relies on a witty, satirical tone designed to convert conversational awkwardness into active audience engagement. Turning these standard media formats into parodies encourages young adults to confront ingrained biases, reframing menstruation as a natural, normalized experience rather than a source of shame.
